Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!! It's kind of fun to post from I-80 in Ohio on the way back to my parents place. Be safe, everyone!!!!!

So amongst the many ideas I have right now regarding a career - Event Planning keeps coming up as something I'd really like to do. Most brides stress about working with vendors and negotiating etc. - I looove it. To be honest, I'd probably be a good "buyer" if I could locate the right job because I honestly love contacting vendors and putting things together to get a finished product. It's what I did at the music store for 5 years, what I did with my position in B&N and although it's not nearly quite the same, it is sort of what I do now. The main thing I hate about this job - too many hands on my shit. While some people don't like to be a supervisor/manager - I love it. But I love it in respects to vendors and being able to call shots, etc. We actually got asked multiple times if we had a wedding planner - nope, just us.

I also have ideas that I've mentioned before about a magazine and I'm already finding ways to get deeper into photography. I "think" I've got a good eye which, of course, only time and ComCon will tell ;-) I've picked up fairly quickly on settings I like to use to get the shot I have in mind and I'm already in the process of picking up a macro lens.

With work - hours don't bother me. I honestly don't mind working overtime - as long as I like/love what I'm doing. Right now? I don't stay because by the time the clock hits 5, I want to run out the door with everyone else. I could have picked up extra time on New Years day but to be honest, I'm ELATED to not be working the day after christmas or new years day for once in about 8 years. I'm not a slacker by any means - what I am, however, is determined to do what makes me happy. And with that, sleep makes me happy :-)

Ok, so as I'm driving home from work  - about 4:00pm and the start of rush hour - I notice that the ambulance in front of me has switched to the right lane and is now deciding to cut me off with barely any room to spare.  I hop in the left lane - obviously a little nervous/annoyed and what do I see the driver doing??  He's HOLDING HIS PHONE UP AND TEXTING - not paying a bit of attention to the road.... Buddy - you're driving an ambulance!!!!! You're supposed to be saving people not CAUSING the problem!

On to the next moron:  I get to the 270-315 split which is a nasty, nasty interchange here in Columbus.  Basically, you're trying to merge onto the next highway which also coincidentally dumps off into an exit ramp at the same time.... needless to say you're trying to get left in order to merge onto the highway and the other folks are trying to go right to get off the highway.  I finally break free and notice the car in front of me is weaving back and forth and is doing about 15mph below the posted speed limit.  I pass her on the right as I'm at my exit and SHE'S READING!!!!!!!

LOL.  Yoshi and I decided to allow Justine to roam free in our bedroom/bathroom for the day - the first time she's been out and alone for 8 hours since 2 years ago when she put a whole in the carpet in the apartment.  I'm happy to report that she did beautifully!! When I got home she was lying all comfy in her crate and everything was just as we'd left it. 

Success!!

Now it's time to figure out what we're doing this evening, along with cleaning the house a bit.  Did I mention it's absolutely gorgeous outside?!?!  Days like this make me wish we had a patio so we could eat dinner out there while the dog got to run around/play.  Maybe next summer. 

Priceless:  Today is the big day for the Cleveland Indians - if they win, we clinch the division and make it to the playoffs.  If they lose and the tigers lose, we make it into the playoffs and clinch the division.  Anyways, we're pitching and the ball is thrown - the hitter gets a foul and you hear from the stands:

Gah! Why does figuring out what I love to do have to be so dificult!  Well, maybe because I'm 27 and can't wait much longer to a) look into school b) go to school or c) get on the path to a career or find a career.  I keep bouncing back and forth between ideas and I can't seem to figure out what it is I want to do or what I will want to do for the next 20-30 years.... nevermind how long school takes - I just want to do what I love when I'm done!

Animals - love them.  I'm extremely curious about what makes them tick (mostly dogs) i.e. how their psychological process' work

What I do now for the convention and the corporation  - even if I were to turn it into event planning, HR or an MBA - again, it's all about direction.

I LOVE watching wedding planners and event planners and seeing the end result - how everything turns out.

Singing in the aspect of Speech Pathology; ENT; voice doctor - being on the helping as opposed to performing end. 

Ok brainiacs, what do you make of all of this and how many counselors at OSU am I going to have to talk to before I straighten this mess out? LOL.  Someone, help, please!!!!

A friend/coworker of mine was looking for a Cannon srl digital camera to take pictures with at Lalapalooza (my sp is crap right now) and was looking to spend, if at all possible, less than $1500.  He writes for a music magazine.  If anyone knows of a good link/direction to point him in, I'd be grateful as I mentioned I have some camera folks as friends.
